How To Create Your Own In Home Spa

Ladies, women of all ages, mothers,  grand-mothers, are you interested in creating an In Home Spa, to treat yourself to luxurious relaxation?  Making your own Spa can be as easy as 1, 2, 3….or as extravagant as you want it to be. If you have a Hot Tub, that is wonderful, however not a necessary requirement to creating a unique In Home Spa. With the following simple tips, you can turn your In Home Spa into a memorable experience.

1. In order to create a unique, relaxing spa, you need and will want a quiet, soothing, comfortable  environment.  Find something away from the hustle and bustle of your household, a bathroom, hot tub area or sauna.

2. Begin by lighting candles and turning off the lights. You may choose aromatic candles with the scent you prefer, such as jasmine, pine, sage, cedar.

3. Next, put on some calming, meditation-type music to soothe your soul. You can find such music on the radio or on your T.V. Dish under Spa, Nature or CBC Radio Stations.

4. You can buy a Spa Kit or make one up yourself from simple kitchen supplies. This can be fun, as you are spending time with you, pampering yourself. Envision what your Perfect In Home Spa will lok and feel like and they go about creating that atmosphere.

5. Would you like multiple bubbles in your bath water, wine to sip on, rose petals in your bath, imagine what you want and then make it happen.

6. Turn off the phones, TVs, Cell Phones, the Doorbell, tell the kids and husband to be quiet or better yet, have them go outside to to a movie for an hour, so there are no distractions.

7. If you don’t have a bathtub, find a chair that doesn’t mind getting wet and put it in your shower cubicle. Put a towel on the seat to sit on for comfort and then lean back and relax.  To add steam to the experience, you may turn on the shower before hand to create steam, or you set up a humidifier in the room to provide a misty, humid, warm environment. (An electric kettle filled with water, would work also, however I would be very careful not to scald or electricute yourself by tripping over the cord and having the kettle come tumbling down on you.)

8. From there, you can pour warm water over yourself by adding aromatic scents or slices of lemon to the water.

9. If you have a bath-tub, fill it with water at the temperature you like and add bath salts, oil and scented bath bubbles or rose petals. Some scents to use in he summer time are lemon, cardamon and vanilla.  In the winter time, you may want to use citrus, mint or floral.  Place the best towels you have close at hand and stay in the tub as long as you want.

10.  When in the shower cubicle, after pouring warm, hot water over you, you may give yourself a vigorous body scrub, using a skin exfoliating lotion that you can purchase or make your own.  This is a sensuous experience, as you massage your whole body, leaving it tingling and alive, feeling wonderful, loving your body.

11. Shower it off and then sit down and relax, enjoying the peace and quiet, listening to the soft, soothing music, envisioning your dreams, being grateful for all that you have now. Enjoy your In Home Spa,  treat yourself without the expense and hassle of going out, when you want peace and quiet time for you.

12. I suggest once a month, save your pennies to indulge in a relaxing Hot Stone Massage at a Wellness Center to experience complete, hassle-free comfort as well as deep healing energy rejuvenation to unblock those tired, achy muscles. Please phone 403-566-2248 or 403-362-0901 for the best Hot Stone Massage in southern Alberta.

In the meantime, tune in tomrrow for more on your In Home Spa, as I share with you some home-made bath and body recipes for scrubs, anti-aging cream, a kitchen face mask, apple hair rinse and even a soothing baby bottom oil for mothers of babies,  who need time-outs too.

  1. This topic is quite hot in the net right now. What do you pay the most attention to while choosing what to write ?

    • Thank you for replying to my Article on How to Create Your Own In Home Spa. I appreciate it.

That is a valuable question and very valid. I give Hot Stone Massages and thought about finding topics and activities that will benefit people at home on a regular basis, while getting something special done once a month, like a Hot Stone Massage.

This Blog Topic is a way of creating value for you, the Reader, as well as for me, the Writer. I am able to help you on a daily basis and lead you into my world as a Hot Stone Massage Therapist. I pay close attention to what I can do for you, what benefits are there for you in reading and then taking action from information given on my blog?

Does this answer your question? What do you pay the most attention to while choosing what to write? Are you a full or part time Blogger? Would you like to create your own Home Spa or have you already created one for yourself? Louise
